Each spring swallows make one of nature’s most incredible journeys, flying all the way from Africa to our shores to breed, covering more than 200 miles a day even though they only weigh 16 – 25g. They build cup shaped nests from mud and bring joy to our countryside summers before setting off south in the autumn.
