York based artist

I’m Rachel, an artist working from my beautiful, attic studio in York. I work in print, paint and collage inspired by the plants and wildlife that surround and enrich my everyday life. I celebrate and champion our incredible native flora and fauna, capturing the joy and wonder I constantly find in the nature on my doorstep. Striving for a practice that doesn’t harm our natural world I use vegetable oil based inks, recycled card, handmade papers and natural fibres.

I’m delighted to be a member of North Yorkshire Open Studios.
